Yin Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation with Despina

Reading these words and understanding them cognitively, is quite different to embodying the felt sense of the meaning. Being on the mat or meditation cushion creates the possibility of space to drop from head to heart-belly. To come back to this present moment, come back to this body, to this breath and from that place of intuitive pause choose an appropriate response. This, for me has made all the difference and continues to create space for unlearning and learning.
Yin Yoga and mindfulness meditation can be experienced as a practice of cultivating well-being. It is also considered as a joint and organ health practice. Combining these two practices creates powerful possibilities for insight, transformation, expansion and healing on all layers of being :body, mind, and heart. Integrating sound work and poetry into the yin yoga space offers another medium for exploring our direct experience just as it is, also inviting possibilities to explore this human experience fully.
Cultivating the skill of awareness opens us to possibility, conscious choice and space to create paths that bring us and those around us space for the possibility of growth, insight and joy.
This offering invites you to pause, soften into and stay in shapes for between 2-7 minutes, connect and move in towards waking up to the fullness of this lived human experience and our true nature.
